Building Hope Impact Announces Local Volunteer Wins National Award for Leadership & Meaningful Impact

On March 8, 2024, Building Hope proudly announced two winners for its third annual Shellie-Ann Braswell Shine Brighter Award. This award was established and named as a tribute to the committed volunteer leader Shellie-Ann Braswell, who led with love and enhanced the radiance of everything around her. The award acknowledges charter school volunteers and their unwavering dedication to creating a brighter future for students and communities.
One of the 2024 Shellie-Ann Braswell Shine Brighter Award winners is Danielle Sell, Board President, parent volunteer, and a founding family member of Adeline Montessori School. Both winners were nominated by the public charter schools they support. At Building Hope’s 2024 IMPACT Summit and Awards in Miami, Florida, they will each receive a $5,000 individual grant award in recognition of their extraordinary service. Danielle will donate part of her grant to Adeline Montessori to establish the school library space.
Adeline Montessori School was launched in 2020 through the dedicated and extraordinary efforts of Emily Rodriguez, Danielle Sell, and other key founders. The main campus of Adeline Montessori School is in Oconomowoc, and the satellite site, West Side Montessori Academy, is in Milwaukee. What began with 24 students, infants to grade 6, has grown to a public charter school serving 289 students, infants to grade 9.
