Adeline Montessori School
Announces New Location in Summit

On Monday, May 2, at a special meeting held by the Village of Summit, a Conditional Use Permit was approved for Adeline Montessori School to occupy the school building at 995 Sawyer S. Road in Summit starting June 2022 for Summer Programs and then for the 22-23 school year.

Adeline Montessori will be leasing the school building from the Abundant Life Apostolic Church who will continue all normal church and parish functions in the eastern portion of the building. The Church previously ran a school and daycare in the school addition of the building which ended during COVID.

This is a win-win for all of us. The building will be occupied again for its intended purpose and Adeline Montessori has a new permanent location! The parish needs the building primarily evenings and weekends, and we have the typical school schedule during the weekdays. We are very excited for this partnership.” said Bill Walsh, Vice President and Interim Head of School. The school has a gymnasium, cafeteria, fenced playgrounds next to the building, a larger playground on 8 acres for access to the environment for education, and large classrooms.

Adeline Montessori School was approved as an Independent Charter School on July 1, 2021, and saw such positive response from the community and rapid growth that they needed to secure a second location for the year. Currently, Adeline Montessori is operating out of two locations: the original location on Sunset Avenue in Waukesha serves the Infant, Toddler, and a Primary classroom, and a second location, the former St. Joseph Catholic Middle School in downtown Waukesha, serves the Primary, Elementary, and Middle School students. The move to 995 Sawyer Road will allow all classrooms to be housed under one roof.

We are very grateful to St. Joseph’s parish for giving us space to expand for this year, and to our landlord on Sunset Drive who gave us our first home; they both have been wonderful. But in the end, we need for all of us to be together in one space that can accommodate the increasing demand for high quality and inclusive Montessori education.”, said Operations Director and Founder, Emily Rodriguez.

Adeline Montessori provides Montessori education for students 6 weeks old to grade 9 and focuses on the mission of welcoming diversity among our children, families, faculty, and within our community. It is our core belief that every individual brings their own unique perspective to the environment and adds value to the community as a whole.
