Hello Families,

My name is Ms. Angelica, you may have seen me floating around Adeline over the past few years. I have assisted in Lower Elementary, Upper Elementary, Primary, and also the after-care program.

While on my journey with Adeline, I found myself becoming extremely passionate with the Montessori Art concept, and over the past year was given the opportunity to work closely with the Primary levels providing Art. After a successful year, I wanted to further my education in the Montessori Art concept. I am happy to announce that I completed my training and now hold a certification in Montessori Art.

I am so excited to welcome all of your children into my classroom and look forward to creating a fun and safe environment where each child feels free to express themselves through the endless possibilities that Montessori Art has to offer.

Warmly,
Angelica

Dear Families,

Welcome to the music program at AMS! This year, the class schedule will be as follows:

All Primary students will have Music Class twice per week, on either Mondays and Wednesdays or Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:30-11:00 am. We will focus on singing and playing music games, as well as some sensory activities, such as listening to instruments with different timbres. I can’t wait to get started with the little ones this year!

Lower Elementary students will have Music on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons and we will also spend our time singing, playing music games, and learning about musical concepts such as tempo, melody and harmony, form, dynamics, and meter.

Upper Elementary students will have Music on Monday and Wednesday afternoons. Students will learn to play the recorder and guitar in class, in addition to singing, dancing, and learning musical concepts. We’re planning another field trip to the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra this year as well!

Secondary Students will have the opportunity to choose between participating in an Instrumental Ensemble or Chorus during their recess, or participating in a General Music Appreciation class during the afternoon Specials rotation. Each section of Secondary Music will meet for 45 minutes twice per week.

I look forward to getting to know you and your family this year! Please feel free to email me with any questions or concerns, especially if you have any musical skills or expertise that you would like to share with your student’s class!

With all best wishes,
Emilie Williams (Ms. Emilie)

Greetings everyone!

I would like to take this opportunity to welcome everyone to the upcoming year in P.E.
class. To ensure that your child is ready for their class, here is some information for the
year.

P.E. Class Schedule

  • Monday & Wednesday: UPPER ELEMENTARY & MIDDLE SCHOOL (4th – 9th grade)
  • Tuesday & Thursday: LOWER ELEMENTARY (1st -3rd grade)
  • Friday: PRIMARY (K-5)

Guidelines

  • Safety is paramount; therefore, proper footwear is a must! Tennis/athletic shoes with laces or Velcro straps are preferred. Closed toe sandals with a secure strap around the heel are also permitted (i.e. Keen sandals). If you have any questions about acceptable  shoes, please contact me. For safety reasons: Crocs, boots, dress shoes, flip-flops, slip-on sandals, loose slip-on shoes or any other non-athletic footwear will NOT be allowed for class or indoor recess on the gymnasium floor. Your child will have to sit out for that class period/recess if they are not wearing proper footwear. A friendly reminder will be sent home to prevent future missed classes.
  • If it is convenient for your family, please keep a pair of shoes at your child’s hook/locker for P.E. class. This will guarantee no missed gym time for your child.
  • Please send shorts along to school for anyone wearing a dress/skirt.
  • If your child is not able to participate in class due to injury or illness, please send along a note to either their class teacher or to give to me before class. You may also email me as well. Students that are not able to participate will either bring in unfinished work, a book, or cheer on their class and observe.
  • Thank you for your cooperation and attention to the guidelines of the class.

Regards,
Mike Richter (Mr. Mike)
