JOB SUMMARY: Adeline Montessori School is seeking a Primary Teacher for the 2023-2024 school year for students ages 3 years to 6 years. Job summary includes the ability to create lesson plans and update Montessori materials focused on developing social, emotional, physical, and intellectual skills. The Primary Teacher will also assess individual children’s needs, communicate with families, and work under the supervision of the Program Director.

QUALIFICATIONS:  Qualified candidates will have experience or education in Early Childhood and can demonstrate excellent communication skills as well as the ability to work collaboratively with families and faculty. Ideal candidates will have a clear understanding of Montessori philosophy, curriculum, implementation, and classroom management skills, or be willing to learn.

Essential functions of the job may include but are not limited to the following:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver lesson plans using instructional materials that align with the Montessori philosophy.
  • Develop schemes of work, lesson plans in accordance with established procedures that support the socio-emotional growth of students.
  • Observe, guide, supervise and assess children while they learn in the classroom environment.
  • Communicate effectively and consistently with students, colleagues, and families regarding student progress and needs.
  • Establish rapport and build loving and safe relationships with students based on trust.
  • Observe and evaluate students’ performance and development using Transparent Classroom.
  • Participate in department, school, district, and family meetings, orientations, trainings, and professional development.
  • Ultimately create, maintains, and models a classroom culture that aligns with the school’s vision.
  • Facilitate and maintain an environment that is safe, clean, stimulating and caters to the child.

  • Demonstrate preparation and skill in working with students from diverse cultural, economic, and ability backgrounds.
  • Encourage family and community involvement, obtain information for families when requested, promptly return phone calls and answer emails.
  • Participate in appropriate professional activities and professional development.

  • Meet professional teacher education requirements of school, district, and state.
  • Proven ability to report to work on a regular and punctual basis.

JOB SUMMARY: Adeline Montessori School is seeking a Lower Elementary Lead Teacher for the 2023-2024 school year for students in 1st through 3rd grade. Job summary includes the ability to plan, organize, and implement an appropriate instructional program in a Montessori elementary learning environment that guides and prepares students to become self-motivated through innate curiosity while developing critical thinking skills and diplomacy. Work is performed under the supervision of the Program Director.

QUALIFICATIONS: Qualified candidates will be licensed by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI) or licensable, AMS or AMI certified, and can demonstrate excellent communication skills as well as the ability to work collaboratively with families and faculty. Ideal candidates will have a clear understanding of Montessori philosophy, curriculum, implementation, and classroom management skills.

Essential functions of the job may include but are not limited to the following:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver lesson plans using instructional materials that align with the Montessori philosophy.
  • Develop schemes of work and lesson plans in accordance with established procedures that support the socio-emotional growth of students.

JOB SUMMARY: Adeline Montessori School is seeking Substitute Teachers for the 2022-2023 school year for students in our infant classroom through middle school, depending on the need. Job summary includes the ability to assist in implementing the daily schedule and happenings based on substitute notes provided by the Lead Teacher. Work is performed in conjunction with the Lead/Assistant teacher and under the supervision of the Program Director.

QUALIFICATIONS: Qualified candidates will be licensed by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI) or licensable, or willing to take the DPI Substitute Training and apply for that licensure (paid for by Adeline), and can demonstrate excellent adaptability and collaboration. Montessori Credentialing is not required for this position. 

Essential functions of the job may include but are not limited to the following:

  • Assists the Lead/Assistant Teacher in implementing daily classroom activities and events guided by the Montessori Elementary philosophy:
    • Interacts in a respectful and caring manner with the children by actively participating in their play and learning.
    • Maintains a clean and safe environment for the children through general housekeeping.
    • Assists the children in preparing snacks and lunches.
    • Supervises the children in the classroom, playground, and during other planned activities. 
    • Ensures that all state and local requirements are met for the supervision of the children.
  • Communicate effectively and consistently with students and colleagues regarding student progress and needs.
