Google Chat for 2024-2025!
Why Google Chat?
- Google Chat is a secure communication tool that the school will use to communicate with teachers, administrative staff, and parents.
- Parents can still email the teachers and admin staff or coordinate a phone conversation.
- As our teachers and admin staff are not required to provide their personal cell phone numbers, Google Chat can still provide the platform you need to communicate with the teacher.
- Google chat can be used to communicate with teachers and admin staff for the following:
- For concerns or questions you may have.
- To update the teacher on your child.
- Our staff need to rest and recharge for the next day. We kindly ask that all communication stops at 5pm. Our staff is not required to respond to messages after 5pm.
Downloading the App
- If you already have a Gmail account or Google account, you can skip Step 2.
- To create a Google account, go to the Google Account sign-in page, click “Create Account,” and follow the prompts. This will allow you to create a login and password for Google Chat.
- NOTE: you do not need to do this step if you have an existing Gmail or Google account.

Instructions for Use
Google Chat is easy to use. Simply click the compose icon, enter the email address for the staff member you are trying to reach, compose your message and send. For more detailed instructions on how to send a Google Chat, see the following PDFs.
