Girls on the Run
Girls on the Run (GOTR) at Adeline Montessori is seeking volunteer coaches to lead our after‑school program on Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:30–4:45 PM. This is a wonderful opportunity to support our students’ social‑emotional growth, confidence, and physical health.
What we need:
- Volunteer coaches for Mondays and Wednesdays, 3:30–4:45 PM (after‑school).
- No prior coaching experience required — just enthusiasm, reliability, and a desire to support girls in grades [insert grades served].
- Background checks and a brief online training module are required; GOTR provides guidance and materials.
- Commitment: one season (typically 8–10 weeks) with an end‑of‑season celebratory 5K event.
About Girls on the Run:
- Girls on the Run is a national nonprofit that combines physical activity with life skills lessons to promote confidence, teamwork, and emotional resilience.
- Each practice blends interactive lessons (like goal‑setting, healthy relationships, and positive self‑talk) with running and movement activities.
- The program is led by trained volunteer coaches who facilitate lessons and run/walk activities in a safe, inclusive environment.
- Participation culminates in a 5K event where girls celebrate their growth and accomplishments.
Why volunteer?
- Make a meaningful impact on girls’ self‑confidence and well‑being.
- Build relationships with students and other families.
- Flexible, rewarding way to contribute time to our school community.
