Admission FAQ’s

Admission Frequently Asked Questions

How do I get started?

The first step for everyone is to apply online. All students on the waitlist must complete a new application for each school year, the waitlist does not carry over from year to year.

Where do I fill out the enrollment application?

All enrollment documents can be found on our website. There are no printed admissions or enrollment forms; the process is 100% digital.

What is the timeline for enrollment?

Each year, Adeline Montessori will post the deadline for:

  • Re-enrollment Letters of Commitment for current students
  • Applications for new students openings (Infant through age 3)
  • Lottery applications (4K through grade 8)

Anyone submitting an application after the deadline is placed on a waitlist. Returning students are not in the lottery (“once you are in, you are in”). The Letters of Commitment received from existing families will determine the number of openings in the classrooms.

Do siblings of students already enrolled need to apply?

All students must apply individually. All siblings get priority placement, but it is not guaranteed; please submit an application as soon as possible for consideration. The Letters of Commitment received will determine the number of openings in the classrooms.

I’m on the waitlist, what is the process?

New students may be admitted throughout the year as space becomes available, with special attention to the September and January DPI Head Count days for charter school students. The waitlist does not carry over from year to year. Families on the waitlist who have not been enrolled by January for the following year should reapply for the subsequent school year to be placed on that list.

What is the lottery?

If there are applications submitted by the deadline that exceed the number of openings, we are required to have a lottery for 4K to grade 8. The lottery determines the order of the waitlist. The date of submission of the application determines the order for Infant to 3-year-old Primary students.

What happens if a spot opens up mid-year?

If a student leaves, AMS staff will contact the next family on the waitlist and parents will receive a Letter of Commitment and deadline. Once a Letter of Commitment is received, the child has a confirmed spot at AMS. Students in grades 1-8 will be invited for a shadow day, typically in April or May, joining other transitioning students.

Will there be an Open House? Can I get a tour?

An Open House is generally held in January, around the time the enrollment process starts and we encourage all applicants to attend the Open House. Anyone who missed the Open House can call for a tour of the building. Tours are offered in the mornings between 9:00-11:00 am, at a mutually convenient time for staff and parents.

What are the tuition rates?

The website has the tuition and wrap-around care rates, and the Letter of Commitment has the rates that each family is committing to.

  • Infant/ Toddler: The minimum number of programmatic days is 4 mornings, with full-day and wrap-around care available for all students.
  • 4K through grade 8: All programs are 5 full days.

Does AMS participate in the National Lunch Program?

Effective September 2, 2025, AMS is part of the National School Lunch Program through a joint agreement with the Kettle Moraine School District. Hot lunch is available for purchase for students in the Charter program. We hope to expand this program to include Early Childhood students (0-3) later in the year. Learn more

Does AMS provide transportation?

Starting in the 2025/2026 school year, AMS will have optional busing services. Buses will be operational for pick-up and drop-off to and from school each day (regular morning and afternoon only, not available for wrap-around care times). There will be a fee for utilizing the bus. Learn more
