Help Us Save Our School!
Ways to help us reach our goal:
- Make a secure donation online or by check (see below) to our 501(c)3 organization through Adeline Montessori School
- Donate to our GoFundMe organized by our parents
- Purchase a T-shirt that supports our mission
- Attend/engage in our upcoming Gala (more info to come)
- Share resources, knowledge, and networks to help us reach our goals
Our school community's best path forward is to partner with an existing Montessori charter school, Adeline Montessori School, as a satellite campus. This will allow us to provide a free and accessible inclusive education to our students this fall. We have received almost 100 intent-to-enroll forms from current families that are interested in coming with us to the new satellite location. Raising funds for a building and operation costs is our greatest hurdle.
Our goal is to raise $1 million by June 1, 2023, to ensure financial stability for our new school.
Donations of any size that goes into a 501(c)3 bank account opened by Adeline Montessori School can be made by:

Who We Are
West Side Montessori Academy (WSMA) is a small independent public charter school that serves a diverse population of students across the greater Milwaukee region. It was established in 2023 in response to the closure of Penfield Montessori Academy in Milwaukee, Wisconsin which was originally established in 2016 as an inclusive environment for students of all abilities, encouraging the enrollment of Special Education Students. Located in the inner-city, our school community consists of families representing 20 zip codes, 80% of the student body population is of minority races/ethnicities, 30% of students utilize special education services, and over 50% of the families are considered economically disadvantaged. (Data Source)
WSMA is a satellite school under the Adeline Montessori School charter. We are proudly accepting applications for enrollment under an agreement that AMS has with the Office of Educational Opportunity. 4k – 6th grade is fully funded through the charter.
The '23/'24 physical location will be posted soon.
Our Mission
West Side Montessori Academy (WSMA) strives to provide inclusive, accessible, and equitable Montessori education to all students. Our greatest priority is the full inclusion of all learning styles, as well as academic individualization. A robust Montessori education should be available to all. We prepare children to become self-motivated by their innate sense of curiosity and encourage them to use critical thinking skills and diplomacy to overcome obstacles. The WSMA community/team will guide students to problem-solve with empathy as they grow to become adults with integrity.
Commitment to Diversity & Inclusivity
West Side Montessori Academy (the “School”) admits students of any race, color, national, and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the School. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin in the administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship and loan programs, and athletic and other school-administered programs.
West Side Montessori Academy values and welcomes diversity among our children, families, faculty, and within our community. It is our core belief that every individual brings their own unique perspective to the environment and adds value to the community as a whole. We believe inclusion sets a foundation for compassion, understanding, and growth in our increasingly diverse world. We do not discriminate on the basis of age, race, color, creed, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, marital or relationship status, or disability. All are welcome at West Side Montessori Academy.
It is important to note that, in compliance with the American Montessori Society standards, West Side Montessori Academy is committed “to basic human rights such as freedom, dignity, safety, equitable treatment, and a standard of living adequate for health and well-being drive the Montessori commitment to education for peace and social justice.
